Case Study - Decentralized data spaces for automotive simulation - built from scratch

ENVITED-X is a decentralized data space for the automotive simulation industry. We built it with ASCS to let companies collaborate on critical simulation data without giving up control of their IP.

Overview

ENVITED-X started with a simple question: how do you get competing automotive companies to share simulation data without anyone losing control of their IP? The answer was a decentralized data space - built with ASCS (Automotive Solution Center for Simulation e.V.) - that lets organizations collaborate securely without trusting a central authority.

We built the platform on blockchain and decentralized identity management. The result? Companies can share critical simulation data - HD maps, environment models, scenarios - while keeping full control over who sees what.

What we did

  • Data Space Architecture
  • Decentralized Identity Management
  • Blockchain-Based Verification
  • Co-simulation Framework
  • Web3 Integration

Enhanced Efficiency

Cuts down on expensive physical testing by enabling virtual simulation and distributed testing. Faster development cycles, lower costs - pretty straightforward value prop.

Secure Collaboration

Blockchain-based verification and zero-trust architecture mean companies can cooperate confidently. Your sensitive data stays protected - no compromises.

Standardization and Interoperability

Seven core EVES specifications make sure different simulation environments actually work together. No more integration headaches.

Decentralized Data Governance

Users keep full control over their data and identity. No central authority calling the shots - but you can still collaborate just as effectively.

ENVITED-X isn't just a platform - it's changing how the entire simulation industry collaborates. Real data sovereignty, real innovation, real connections.

Achievements

4 Supported Asset Types

HD-Map, Environment, Scenario, and OSI-Trace datasets - all onboarded and validated. These are the data types simulation engineers actually need day-to-day.

7 Core EVES Specifications

EVES-001 through EVES-007 cover everything from governance to blockchain URN schemas. It's a mature, open standard - not a spec that exists only on paper.

60+ Ecosystem Members

Over sixty companies and research institutes in the ASCS network. That's real market traction, not a vanity metric.

3-Tier Privacy Model

Owner-only, registered-member, and public access levels. You decide who sees what - without slowing down the sharing that matters.

Join the Revolution

ENVITED-X is live, growing, and open to new members. If you're in automotive simulation and you're tired of the data-sharing status quo - let's talk. We're building the ecosystem where collaboration doesn't mean giving up control.
